Fatin presents Ishtiaq / اشتياق - songs of longing as performed by the prima donnas of the Levant from the 90's and early 2000's. Featuring hits from Nawal Al Zoghbi, Najwa Karam, Diana Haddad, and more.
Fatin is a Palestinian community organizer and lover of music. She has been leading family and friends in song since childhood, and has been serving the local community as a DJ for nearly 20 years. Fatin's sets often feature nostalgic Levantine popular hits she loved as a child, and her love for music is inspired by her grandmother and the women in her family. This year Fatin is an awardee of the New York State Council on the Arts Folk Arts Apprenticeship Program, under the guidance of Sami Abu Shumays, as well as a Brooklyn Public Library Heritage Ambassador.
