سردي فردي Sardi Fardi
Sardi Fardi (Odd Narrative) is Ayman Asfour’s latest project, blending classic Egyptian melodies with the dynamic energy of odd meters. By placing storytelling melodies and Arabic maqam in an unusual rhythmic structure, the project offers alternative ways for the listeners to experience the music, and challenges both the composer and the musicians to navigate new expressive possibilities within a familiar tradition. Since arriving in NYC, Asfour was lucky to link up with some incredible musicians through the Brooklyn Maqam community who have contributed greatly to this project’s musical process.
