Harmal is a Middle Eastern fusion band performing traditional music from the Levant to Africa along with original compositions that combine Arabic musical modes with western progressive influences.

Michael Joseph Burdi is a multi-instrumentalist and composer from Brooklyn, NY of Syrian and Italian descent. Michael plays oud, and percussion in his bands Harmal and Baharat, as well as performing with other ensembles and collaborations.
Alber Baseel is a hand percussionist from Bethlehem, Palestine, specializing in Darbuka and Riq, with a background in Classical Arabic music. He has studied at the Edward Said Conservatory, Bethlehem University, the Berklee College of Music. Alber has performed with notable musicians like Simon Shaheen and Leo Blanco, and his work incorporates diverse percussion styles, including Latin and African rhythms.
Canadian cellist George Crotty has forged his own exciting vocabulary, pushing the boundaries of the cello. Crotty has performed as a soloist and bandleader in the Americas and Europe including at the Museo Nacional de Bogota, Vancouver Jazz Festival, 21C Music Festival, Copenhagen Vinterjazz, and New Directions Cello Festival. He will release his third album for the George Crotty Trio in June 2025.
